Mid-Price Point Townhomes in the Twin Cities
Right now at the time of this post in the Minneapolis metro area of Hennepin, Scott, Carver, Dakota, Anoka, Ramsey and Washington counties there are less than 200 Twin Cities MN townhomes 200K to 400k with at least two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a double garage included. There may be a few townhouses with four bedrooms or more baths. Average listing price is $322K and average cost per square foot is and average cost per square foot is $191K. Average year-built is 2010 but that number is skewed upward by the large number of new townhomes in the Twin Cities being built. But there is nothing wrong with the older ones either. Occasionally there are quad townhomes that show up in the 200’s what were built in the 1980s. Most of these homes have a deck, a walkout basement, a lower level family room, two car garage, walk through master bath, walk-in closet, fireplace, and vaulted ceilings. These quads are a great place to make great starter Twin Cities townhomes.
On the upper end of the 200K-400K price range you will find one story townhouses and detached or villa townhomes for sale including properties in Farmington, Norwood Young America, Forest Lake, Burnsville and Rogers MN. Blaine and Cottage Grove are hotspots for finding brand new construction Twin Cities townhomes.

Get a Practical Townhome
All of these have at least two bedrooms, two car stall garages, and two bathrooms. Why? Re-Sale. This is what Twin Cities townhome buyers ask for. Also, Minnesotans love garages and I know you do too. If you want to spend less than 200K, you can probably find a nice one with a one stall garage. There just aren’t that many townhomes for sale under 200K with a double garage.
