Buy a townhome with a below ground pool!
It is easier to find condos with pools, but you can find townhouses equipped with them at this link. Buy a townhome in the Twin Cities with a pool and you can bet that kids, grandkids, friends and everyone else will be coming to visit you. Get-togethers will be much more fun. Sometimes, HOA fees are higher if there is a pool on site, but that is not always the case. If you have concerns about HOA fees, I can construct a list that will filter out associations with high fees. But a pool does add some desirability and resale value when you go to sell your property. If you can find a 55+ community or a detached Twin Cities townhome with a pool, go for it, because both types of properties are in high demand.
Kingslee Heights is an HOA neighborhood in Bloomington that offers a pool, and fees at the time of this post were $441 per month. Enjoy close proximity to lakes, parks, and trails. The pool is below ground, and heated, plus there is a tennis court for your enjoyment.
Liberty on Bluff Creek in Chanhassen also as a below ground outdoor pool. HOA fees at these time are only $303 per month, and the HOA is well-managed by Gassen. These units have three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and two garage stalls. These were built in 2013 but offer a better value than new.
A very popular neighborhood in the Twin Cities for townhomes with a pool is Hennepin Village in Eden Prairie HOA fees are only 303 per month. Styles include side by side, detached two story, and one level townhouses. This neighborhood enjoys commanding bluff views of the Minnesota River Valley. Homes in this neighborhood sell fast.
Detached townhomes in Kingswood Farm on Gleason Lake in Plymouth not only enjoy lake access, but also a below ground, heated outdoor pool. These one story townhomes enjoy low HOA fees. At the time of this post, they were only #202 per month.
